Dear Santa,

Today I picked up the first batch of letters to Santa from Macy's. 335 of them to be exact. And in case you were wondering, yes it was slightly awkward sitting on the ground behind the giant mail box in the middle of Macy's emptying Santa letters during store hours while little kids and people were walking by! Anyway, I brought them home and couldn't help myself; I read them all! Some were funny, some a little sad, of course some ridiculous and some that were just fantastic! I can't wait to get the next batch! I think this calls for another La!! Fa-La-La-La

If you're confused about why I'm stealing people's wishes and letters to Santa it is because Macy's and Make-A-Wish have teamed up again for the "Believe Campaign" in which Macy's donates $1 for every letter collected in their stores to Make-A-Wish (up to a million dollars). Someone has to go to the store to pick up and count all those letters (and pass them on to Santa OF COURSE!!) Well, for Mall at Millenia, I'm that person!! So go write a letter to Santa and help a little kid's wish come true...and who knows...maybe yours will too!!!!

Browns and Battle Wounds

Kyle rolled his ankle tonight in his Y-league basketball game. "She Got Me Doin' Da Dishes" took another one on the chin (not dissimilar to the Browns). Don't worry, Kyle battled through for a season high of 7 points. For those of you who are not familiar with Kyle's offensive skills, unless Tim Majewski is guarding him, when Kyle has 18% of the team's point total it is not a good sign.

*This post was initially going to be about how we got (?) to watch the Browns on TV for pretty much the only time this season...but they wasted 3+ hours of my life that I'll never get back so I refuse to waste space here on them!

Ottoman Olympics

~ "Come on Cort you can do it!!" Followed by quick footsteps (coming from 6 feet) and a solid landing on the tile floor.~

How could I not go see what was happening...and oh what a sight it was! I now share with you today's edition of "Our House is a Gymnasium: Experimenting with Agility Skills"

Despite multiple demonstrations from Kyle, Cort couldn't manage to jump over the ottoman (while down) without cheating. Kyle decided that easing him in might be the best way to accomplish the task. After completing a laundry basket warm up with ease it was apparently time to really test him. The results you wonder? Cort still can't leap over the ottoman while down but has no fear and very little issue hopping right over when it's on its side! Note to self for future home: must have large basement (preferably with some type of padding) to allow for such shenanigans.

Busy Birdy

This little guy was hard at work hanging almost upside down and digging for lunch today. His hole is as big as he is, and he just shimmies right down in there!! Quite a sight to see!

I KNOW HIM!!!!

Tonight Santa arrived to take his seat in the middle of this magical mall wonderland! (He's down there in the middle behind the Santa guy.) What can I say, it's beginning to look a lot like... How 'bout we just throw in another La and leave it at that... Fa La La

One Down!!!

I got one!!! In my attempts to flee with the box I almost sent Kyle crashing to the ground but what's important is that Christmas is sneaking out of the "basement" little by little!!!!! I'll admit it is still early so I'll just give a Fa with one La after it: Fa La... :o)

Puppy Prescriptions

Cort and his rash went to the vet bright and early this morning...here's a look at the arsenal for treating his allergies. Allergies to what? We don't seem to know yet. For now lets just hope this rash goes away and doesn't come back, or else we'll need a pill container for our tomato colored pup!
