Takin' it to the Gym

Kyle made his first gym trip of the new decade tonight! (slow news day!)

School Days!

Went school supply shopping for myself and Kyle tonight. We now have enough binders to last us at least the semester! Oh how I LOVE office stores!

Left, Right, Center

In our house I had more or less taken over the office. Between school, crafting and the fact that I spend a lot of time on the computer it just sort of happened! Well, I'm not the only student anymore and if Kyle is going to do well in his classes over the next couple years he too needs a suitable space to study! So, I spent the day today re-organizing the office and cleaning off the desk so that we each have our own work space!! Kyle is on the left (with very few accessories) and I'm on the right (with lots of accessories) The middle is available for additional work space if needed (and to of course provide a roof for the pile of papers to be filed). The dresser that was temporarily placed in here on its way to the curb, well, it seems to have received yet another lease on life thanks to this project. AND now that Kyle has spent a bit of time in here he's thinking of possible paint colors...of course I'm on board with that! The office contains the final 3.5 walls in this house that I've yet to paint!!

Soup Du Jour

The cold finally got to me and today was the day I made my annual pot of chicken noodle soup! If I was planning correctly I probably should have made it about 10 days ago so we would have had it throughout the cold snap, but oh well there will be some to freeze! It turned out pretty yummy and that's all that matters anyway!! :o)

Jammin' in our Jammies

Sooo...we spent the day in our jammies. We watched a couple movies, Kyle did some reading/stuff for school, I did some small things around the house, then we of course rocked out for a little! (Holy Shirts and Pants has upgraded to a tour bus thank you!) And when Cort wasn't being spoiled curled up with/next to one of us he sat, just about like this. Half begging to cuddle up with us and half wondering when we were going to get dressed and take him to do something exciting. He's going to have to keep waiting on the exciting part 'cause today it's just not happening!

A Little Late

This silly little Christmas cactus flower that we adopted from Grandma Myers finally bloomed today! We've been watching it, very intrigued by the fact that it is albino and I was thrilled to discover the splash of pink when I took the picture from below! I've never seen a white Christmas cactus before!

In other blog related news we watched Julie and Julia tonight. I thought it was a good movie but we were both unsatisfied that the two never did meet. Kinda makes me think a little less of Julia! Oh well, maybe if she saw how much her book sales went up after all this she'd be a little more open to the blog idea...just sayin'!

Boxing Day

Christmas is officially all packed up and ready to be re-shelved for another year. Our walls always look so naked when all the decorations come down, kind of depressing! AND this year I did some paint damage attempting to hang certain decorations, so add some patchwork and touch-ups to the list of things to do! Oops! :o)
