Family Vacation

We all made it to Sunset Beach NC safe and sound! The beach and water were perfect this evening when I took Cort for a swim! Still unsure as to our internet access abilities. I'll try to post pics tomorrow! night all!

So Long, Siggy!

Since we leave tomorrow morning for our trip, Siggy is going to stay with a different foster family while we're gone. The only thing is, he has a meet and greet with a potential forever family on Sunday. Chances are, they will love him as much as I came to, he'll be adopted, and we'll never get to see him again. So I dropped him off, he cried, I managed not to...it was very sad. As much as he turned things upside down around here I became pretty fond of the little guy!! If he does indeed get adopted while we're gone, I hope he has a wonderful life and I'm glad he was a part of our little family, even if it was only for a little while! (I'm pretty sure Cort's sentiments are more along the lines of "SEE YA! Got the house back!!")

Alright, not quite, but when I pulled in next to this 2-door beauty today at Target I couldn't help but snap a picture! Ahh, Lucille, those were the good 'ole days! I'd buy her back in a second if I could! :o)

Wrinkles

So I totally blew it by not taking a picture of my AMAZING swirl frozen yogurt cone that I had after our dinner at Jason's Deli tonight...I was just too busy enjoying it! So, in order to prevent me from having yet another pictureless day Kyle suggested that I take a picture of his freshly ironed clothes for tomorrow. He has switched up his routine this week by ironing at night, rather than in the morning. While this works well for him (he gets ready faster) it sucks for me because, well, he gets ready faster!! Not as much time to wake up, check email, turn on the Today Show, and then start making his lunch and breakfast...now it's up and right to work! Anyway please note the spot on the lower left. That was Siggy's contribution left behind on a quick breeze by post water bowl visit.

Leaps and Bounds!

Made huge amounts of progress on my quilting project...Almost enough to rekindle my hopes of having it done by the weekend! I didn't take a picture though because I don't want to give it away until it's done! Sorry to disappoint!!

How Much Is That Doggie In The...

Basket....?

From the time he woke up this morning, Cort has been all about lounging in the basket of dirty laundry that is currently in the dining room. Tonight, same as every night, we said, "Ok Cort, time for bed"...and wouldn't you know. He walked right into the dining room and curled up in/on the basket. What a weird little guy. Now, I fully realize there are many things about this picture for which I can be ridiculed, let me attempt to explain some of them. 1) laundry in the dining room - we don't exactly have an alternate sorting location, come laundry day(s) we work in the largest open space we have. 2) Yes Cort is wearing Christmas jammies - he has a rash on his stomach that is clearing up but he tends to scratch and make worse...the jammies cover the spot and protect it from his spirited scratching sessions. 3) He has socks on his front paws...similar to the stomach thing...his allergies make his paws itch, he eats them, they get worse. Clothing = protection from self-mutilation therefore looking dumb = avoiding expensive vet bills! Hope everyone had a good Monday! Onward with the week!! Good night all!

Sunday Runday

We were up and at 'em and off to "the running park" pretty early this morning. Kyle needed to get his long run in and well, I needed to start running again. Especially now that I've been registered for the Columbus 1/2 Marathon, in October. So, Kyle ran 14 miles and I ran. (We'll leave it at that) I've got lots of catching up to do!
