Sunrise at Sunset

Friday the 13th got off to a beautiful and early start. Kyle and I rode bikes down to the end of the island and onto the beach to watch the sunrise. Then we continued on, back towards the pier. The rest of the day consisted of some picture taking (me, shocking!), relaxing on the beach (me), studying (Kyle), shopping (Kris, Christy & the kids), evening swimming (Us & Cort) and sadly some packing...(all of us)

Cut-off!

The people we were "borrowing" internet from, seem to have found us out. So I'll post updates Saturday when we get home!

Family

Today was Ken's and Susan's last day of vacation with us so we of course had to take a family picture!

Toddling

Will playing with his car on one side of the tide-pool while Kate, Grandma and Pap hang out ALL the way on the other side! Not too long after I took this picture, he made his move to join them and almost made it... (He face-planted about 3/4 of the way across - Don't worry, the "yiddle" guy is just fine!)

Weim in the Waves

Since I seem to be documenting a little bit of everyone's trip so far, today I'll feature Cort, and me too! We've been going to the beach each morning and today we double dipped (literally!) and went back for an evening "swim"! He has zero fear of the water and the waves and will gladly pull me all over the beach at somewhat frighteningly high speeds! I think it's safe to say that he had a great third day of vacation. A run and swim in the morning and a lot of running, wave jumping and some swimming and digging in the evening!

*Update: For those who may be wondering, Siggy was adopted on Sunday and now has a loving forever home and new name - Harley. Yeah, I don't like it either but, at least he has a family that loves him! -not that I didn't.

Beach Buddies!

Today was a beachy play date for me, Kate and Susan. We made the trek over to the beach where Kate did plenty of splashing, floating, wave riding, digging, friend-making, and playing with both of us before it was time to head back to the house for lunch and a nap. The guys went golfing this morning and we all headed to Calabash for dinner and ice cream tonight. Vacation day #2(and a half)...Great success!

Life's a Beach!

Doesn't this just say it all??
Will didn't take long to become a beach baby today and it's no wonder why. It was a perfect day! Waves that were just the right size, sun in the sky and plenty of sand to go around! Great first day of vacation!!
