Hollywood Hills

Kyle and I, along with Pat, Brittany, Keri and Bob hiked the Hollywood sign today!
You can't get all the way up to it, but you can get pretty darn close! I've been wanting to do it for a long time and finally, third trip out was the charm! It was a great day for it, I got some good pictures, and we had a lot of fun! After our adventure we headed back to the hotel and off to the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner then a hangout at the hotel bar. We're staying busy!!

On another note - sorry for the delays, the time adjustment has been a little rough on me and well, my posting times are skewed a little from eastern time as I now have become more accustomed to the time out here! Wedding day tomorrow!!! :o)

So Long, Sweet Summer!

So begins another school year.
Bessy (my trusty dusty laptop) and I embarked on year #2 today and man oh man, this semester looks to be a doozy! (sp?) Hang with me while I rant a bit...For starters I'm taking two classes, which I haven't done in this program yet, so that should be interesting. (I start the second class on Weds) THEN, the professor for the class that "started" today, e-mails and says you'll spend at least 15 hours a week on reading alone, for this THREE HOUR course, not to mention all of the online requirements that must be fulfilled. WHAT??!! From there it has only gotten better! (*sarcasm) I spent the evening completely overhauling said professor's presentation of class information so, yeah, I think we're off to a good start. OYE! I mean really...first day of class - AKA Syllabus day...What kind of professor doesn't have a syllabus?! Just a bunch of random class info thrown together all mixed up and on top of itself since 1996..yep...more than a decade ago! Pretty much tossed us all out into her crazy interweb mess of a class and said, good luck, turn things in on time, (if you can find what's due!) I'll let you know how you've done at the end of the semester! Our organizational styles obviously don't meld. On a high (and organizational) note though...I got my ceremonial new binders - finally one to match the pink notebook I already had, AND after digging through a couple boxes, I finally found the perfect green notebook to match my new green binder! AND I got an assignment notebook! Good thing too, I'll have a lot of stuff to keep track of in these classes.

On a Roll!!

We had an unusually productive day for a Sunday. Even Cort got a little exercise...(notice the freshly mowed lawn and nicely edged sidewalk) There was even time for a trip into the outside world to do some computer browsing...just in case good 'ole Bessy here should break down on me!

A Little Bit of Italy

Tonight was our "belated" anniversary outing. We started with a delicious Italian dinner at Maggiano's Little Italy down on I-drive - SO GOOD! So filling and most likely so bad for us - (thankfully they don't have calories on their menu yet), but everything was absolutely delicious!! Then it was a stop at the outlet mall where Kyle got a sweater vest and I got my first ever "dressy-ish" black cardigan. Then on the way home we stopped at Jeremiah's - an Italian Ice/ice cream place pretty close to our house that we've been meaning/wanting to try for the last - eh, 4 years. There is always a line and everyone raves about it, well tonight we joined the line and I'm totally ready to rave about it. I had a mango gelati and Kyle had a pomegranate gelati SO GOOD, again! (FYI Gelati is Italian Ice layered with frozen custard deliciousness!) It was awesome that we finally went but now I'm going to want it all the time! Maybe I can start running there! Anyway, despite a few raindrops earlier in the evening it was a gorgeous and very fun night! Now it's time to digest, and tomorrow it's time to run, run, mow the front lawn and maybe run some more! All of that still won't burn it off everything we ate tonight...but it should provide us with plenty of energy for it! Haha! :o)
