Tomorrow is Paczki Day then begins my 40 days of no junk food. Kyle and I are both getting ready for it by eating all of the crap we can now! Haha! Even though it was a bit chilly, Kyle ran out and got Jeremiahs AND was nice enough to pick up a bag of gummy bears for me! I donned a sweatshirt, 2 blankets and osme mittens and dug into my gelati! Delicious!!
Well, 28. Starin' down the barrel of 30! Yikes! Despite the whole getting old part of today, it was a pretty good birthday. Woke up to two dogs who were determined to pay me back for leaving them all day yesterday, Skyped with the girls (Jod, LJ and Liz), went to the Winter Park St. Paddy's Day Parade, went out to dinner at PF Changs, got dessert (Lemoncello Torte) at Cheesecake Factory then came home and video chatted with my mom and dad! Today we headed over to the Sandpearl Resort at Clearwater beach to meet up with Martin and Kristin and mooch off some of their luxury! (it is VERY nice) They're down here for a wedding and we couldn't help but resort crash for an afternoon!! It was a perfect beach day - the Gulf is still a bit chilly but the temperature, the sun and the cushy lounge chairs were wonderful - so were the mudslides! We even watched a little of the wedding - very pretty! Only catch, I always forget how bad weekend traffic is over there (especially during spring break!), but all and all it was worth it to see them and get to feel like we were on vacation for the day! Not a bad way to kick off the weekend. Tomorrow, the parade!!
Well it was one fancy Friday night for us!! We kicked off our weekend with a date to Panera, where after eating a quick dinner we sat on opposite sides of the booth, in front of our computers, reading for school. We took a little time to play photo booth before we packed up, and then we went and got some gummies. We enjoyed the outing so much, that it might become a weekly thing. Tomorrow it's another beachy day trip!!
So here's a funny coincidence - When I woke up this morning I had this waiting in my inbox from my dad. It was in Cleveland's paper this morning! I'm NOT the only one!! BUT, it is apparently a Florida thing! Anyway, Kyle got home from work last night and thoroughly searched the bathroom and there was no sign of the frog. He must have swam down the toilet drain. All clear! Phew!!
That's what I thought anyway. Until I was on the phone with Jod, ironing my clothes this morning and noticed the dogs acting funny out of the corner of my eye...Take a look!
Pardon my girly/ditzy squeels, and phone commentary, but between two dogs ready to hunt (Cort actually listened and backed off, but was right beside me VERY interested) and a hopping frog I was a little freaked out! This incident proved that I was wrong on another portion of yesterday's blog...I did have something to do with how the frog got out of the house...I had everything to do with it! After I shut off the camera and hung up the phone I gently guided the little fella back out of the kitchen and out the front door. Both dogs then stood at the door watching him on the stoop, growling. Tough guys!
I will never figure out how all this stuff manages to happen when Kyle isn't home!!

So I open the shower curtain, and what do I see...
Yes...a frog!!!! And he's BIG! You know, while I was in the shower I was trying to think of something for today's blog...well Florida, you did it again!!
I didn't scream, and I didn't do much of anything else, other than run for the camera, snap some pictures and well...shut the lid. (And the door) HAHA! I have NO idea where he came from or how he got in the toilet and I have less of an idea how he's going to get out...I mean, I have an idea, but it in no way involves me! So there ya have it...your readership has been rewarded with the the rare occurrence of something truly random that could only happen to me - you know its entries like these that keep you coming back!
Side Note: Yay for Granny getting to go home from the hospital this evening! Keep feeling better!!!
Well, I don't know how to call it overall, but March 1st came like a lion...cub and went out like a lamb! It was a rainy, wet and muddy morning at work but then the clouds cleared and the sun came out...it ended up being a pretty warm, nice day! The dogs all played hard - Cort included, and since he doesn't like to drink out of water bowls that other dogs drink out of, he took advantage of his opportunity to drink from the tap. Haha! Happy March everyone!!
