The girls will...lock themselves out of the house, cut dad's dog proof screen to get back in and then go shop for make-up and nail polish and come home and play dress-up. Yep, just a typical Tuesday night!! Hahaha! My dad at Tim are at Salt Fork with the Majewski fam and well, mom and I are home - with the dogs of course. Few more work and wedding related loose ends to tie up tomorrow then its "vacation"! If only 11:00am on Friday could get here faster!!
Ahh...Ohio Summer! Its a beautiful night tonight but despite the sights and sounds you can feel a little bit of fall starting to creep into the air. I know summer isn't over yet but nights like tonight, as perfect as they are, serve as a little tiny reminder that summer is a short season in these parts...so, what else is there to do but take a moment to appreciate the relaxing sounds that make up a summer night!
Despite disgusting weather, Tim was up and at 'em at 8:00 this morning, lighting the grill to smoke his pork shoulder butt (strange combo!) to make us some pulled pork!!! After about 4 hours of rain drenched smoking to perfection on the grill we had a delicious feast of pulled pork sandwiches, macaroni and cheese (for those keeping track...nope this recipe wasn't THE ONE either), coleslaw - good try Tim, and tasty corn on the cob! YUM! If that isn't a chilly rainy day feast to warm you up, I don't know what is!!! Good work Tim!!
While I can't show you exactly what is in this box for fear of beheading on account of surprise ruining, I will tell you that it holds A LOT of wedding programs! That's right, it's only Saturday night and we've accomplished our goal and are well on our way of exceeding hopes! This was a team effort through and through and now we can move on to the rest of the crafting tasks. Checking things off the list one by one...this one is in the...box!
Oye, has it been a full moon kind of day!! Rather than dwell on the really crappy, lets just stick with the simple stuff!
For those of you who don't know...Martin is getting married in about a week. For those of you who don't know...our house has become the hub of all things wedding crafting. We're not talking small crafts here folks, we're talking all hands on deck, large scale production and now, power tools!! The goal is well, first and foremost for the weekend to improve over its oh so rocky start AND to finish at least 1 craft in its entirety...here's hoping!
Beau had his first (with us) trip to the vet today to get his vaccines so he can go to camp during the wedding next week. The vet said he looks great and was a perfect gentleman when he had his blood draw and got his shots. He was a little nervous, but nothing that holding Tim's hand couldn't fix!
Another stormy night out over the lake, and another night that my picture didn't make the news. Hmph...only a few weeks left up here to get one on!!! I'm bound and determined!! So, since 5pix didn't want to show my picture, I'll show it to all of you!! Caught this little bolt out over the lake. Don't let it fool you - this one may have been far out there but we were dodging plenty that weren't!!!
