HAPPY BIRTHDAY POPPY!!!!
I wish we could have been there!!
Oye...today was one of those days! I spent many many hours sitting on the love seat. First I worked on freeing some of Marty & Kristin's wedding pictures from the internet and then it was time to get to work on my final project for my Philosophy of Leisure class. This is one of the many many pieces of my "Time Capsule". Uhg...I hate days that leave me feeling like I haven't accomplished ANYTHING! Back to reality tomorrow...

High...
Lets be honest...today had a lot of lows. 1)Waking up waaay too early after staying up waaay too late, 2)Turkey nachos = big fail! We do NOT recommend them as a wise option for left overs! 3)Need I even mention the football game...I mean sure it was by definition "a good game" but oye!! So yeah, that's a lot of lows for one day...but then came the retail and burrito therapy! After licking our wounds for a bit we headed out picked up a few things and got some Christmas shopping done. High point for Kyle amongst the lows...we got a couple more Kleenex houses! Haha! Sometimes you have to take the little things and go with them. Still love our Buckeyes!!!

Can I get a Fa??
BIG DAY TOMORROW!!! Hoping the Bucks salvage their season with a much needed win over that team up North!
Ok, sorry! Back on task!!
I haven't been ready to kick off this year's Fa and La countdown this year, and as of a couple hours ago that was still the case. However...after a pretty respectable Elf on the Shelf movie on CBS, a couple hours of Christmas music, a delicious smelling candle, and pulling out all of the decorations...it's official people! Christmas is on its way! So here we go...everyone together now...with gusto!!!

Thankful!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!! Here's a holiday special edition for ya! We had a fun-filled, food-filled, and even family-filled Thanksgiving, with lots to be thankful for as well! We started with a Turkey trot then came home to watch the parade, take a little napper then it was time to get to work cooking our feast. I know you're all wondering...yes, FINALLY Grandma Green's homemade rolls were a success!!! Hooray!! Aunt Wendy and Uncle Bob are here and joined us for dinner and what seems to be turning into a yearly tradition of web-camming with my parents who were in Bay and the "fab four" in Athens...who were shockingly enough 6 bottles of wine into the evening (7 by conversation's end)! I think it was a Happy Thanksgiving for all!! I'm thankful for all of you stopping by to check up on us!!! Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Brine Time
The face off continues. It has gotten more intense now that the turkey is in what Cort believes is his food bucket. Anyway, Thanksgiving prep was in high gear today with some yard work, sweet potato making, pumpkin pie making and turkey brining. Along with all the typical clean up stuff and running around. OH! speaking of running around - I went back to the ghetto to get the mixer, which as it turns out, had nothing wrong with it! Apparently a first for the repair man who worked on it! Oh well, better to be safe than sorry I suppose! Tomorrow we start the day with a trot and then finish getting ready for my Aunt Wendy and Uncle Bob to join us for our feast!!! 1 More sleep 'til Turkey Day and 3 more 'til GAME DAY!!!

Arm Action
So as you all know, the mixer lost in the battle of the bread '11 at Easter time so after a couple quick test runs with some strange noises I took it in to be repaired yesterday. In the ghetto of course! We'll see what's wrong with it! In the mean time - pumpkin rolls needed to be made for Thursday's feast so it was up to me, my whisk and whatever whipping strength I could muster!! My arm muscles held up and my 4 pumpkin rolls turned out just fine! Only 2 more sleeps 'til Turkey Day and only 4 more until GAME DAY!!

Sew What?
Well, we actually left the house today! Kyle, Susan and I headed to down town Winter Park for the Fall Harvest Festival and to wander a bit, then went to the mall to do some more wandering and to pick up the 161 letters to Santa from Macy's. After we'd been home for a bit Susan volunteered to be my Joann Fabric buddy! We picked up some fabric for a project to be revealed later and I got some thread too. She was nice enough to sneak some shots while I was busy paying attention to just about everything else! It's been a fun visit - not overly exciting, but nice to have some company around the house! Next up: Turkey Day prep!!
