Making the Most

So still no word from Indiana or Columbus. Apparently things like this don't move quickly. The holding pattern continues! I was however, able to accomplish some stuff around the house today so that was a bonus. And well, Beau here...he accomplished something too! While I was running errands at Target (gone a whole 30 minutes) he got into the entryway closet, dragged out the bag of food, took off the clip and helped himself. See how far out his ribs are in comparison to his "waist"? That's because he's so full, his stomach is like a ROCK - still, like 5 hours later. He's completely miserable! Maybe he'll remember this next time I leave and he decides his breakfast and lunch weren't big enough! (Not likely)

All Packed Up...

...with no place to go. As is the ongoing theme with my journey to a graduate degree, I have encountered yet another road block. It would appear (as of 6:00 tonight) that OSU's legal department hasn't established the contract with Indiana University thus putting my internship start on hold until all is worked out. So, the plan for now...hang tight for an extra day, call, e-mail, all around annoy all parties that are capable of resolving the issue and then hopefully leave on Thursday morning with ideally everything in place, but at least a more solid understanding of what's going on. I guess all of these hoops are just making up for the lack of actual tests I've had to take in the last 3 years.

The Beat Goes On...

Check out my foot! Haha, just kidding. Another doctor's appointment today and this time the heartbeat was much easier to find and a lot slower than last time...maybe Sprout was sleeping. Not much other than that to the update. 4 more weeks 'til the ultrasound. In other news, we went to Jeremiah's tonight for their 46% off for 46 Gold medals celebration - DELICIOUS! And, as for tomorrow, there's more packing to do along with some cleaning.

20th Grade?

Nothing says back to school like new shoes! My other shoes have about had it and since I'll be on my feets all day everyday and still doing some running it was time to replace them. Besides, once I saw these it was pretty much love at first sight, how could I pass them up, and how can anyone miss me!? As far as school, that's right...ONE MORE class! This one just so happens to be an internship but it will be the last semester of my forever long graduate program. 15 weeks and I'll be done with school for good! Can't wait! Now I just need to finish packing, cleaning up the house and make the looong drive North. Little things!

Jenga!

After a very sloooow start to our day we headed out this evening to make the most of what was left of a potential "nice little Saturday". We had a dinner with what was left of the early bird crowd and knew we were off to a great start! Then we headed to the mall to peruse and after that went to the outlets where we picked up a few things. Then, in keeping with this week's social streak, we met up with Shalese and her fiance Scott downtown at a place called Frank & Steins. It's a hotdog and beer place that has a whole big bookshelf full of games you can play while you hang out, it was loud and I could have done with out the UFC or whatever was on but otherwise it was awesome. We played some pretty intense Jenga and as you can see thanks to Kyle's picture taking skills, I was all about it! Mission to save Saturday, totally accomplished!

Pizza Place

Best part of Friday night homemade pizza night - nope, not that our house smells like a pizzeria...it's LEFTOVERS! It pretty much always sets us up for at least a leftover lunch and dinner. Delicious! Worst part...totally makes a mess in the kitchen, but it's worth it to avoid kitchen messes for another meal later on. Needless to say, it was Friday night pizza night here and our leftovers are all set and ready for feasting over the next couple days! Happy weekend everyone!

Bang Bang

I didn't take a picture tonight, but I did go out and socialize! Go me! I met up with Shalese and we went to dinner at Bonefish Grill to use up a couple of gift cards that we had and catch up before I leave this coming week. I was brave and tried something new at the fish restaurant - Bang Bang Shrimp, and while I wasn't so sure I'd like them, I actually did!! Pretty exciting I know. Anyway, it was a good evening out aside from driving home in the big storm. Gearing up for my last weekend here in Florida - you know, until the next one.
