Well they lasted a little over a year. So much for my 5th anniversary present! Cort collected my sunglasses off the kitchen table, harmless enough, but then he sat on them and broke the arm things off. Once that was taken care of he re-collected them a couple days later off of a different table and apparently decided to be a bit more destructive. I guess this is my lesson as to why I can't have nice things! :o(

Pull Up a Basket!
Not a comfy spot on the floor? No luck getting permission to climb up on the couch? Sick of laying in your bed and crate? Well then pull up a basket full of blankets that's WAAAY to small to fit in. It's a Cort thing. Unfortunately for him, Marty and Kristin's blanket basket is just a bit smaller than the one in Florida so Cort can't quite fit comfortably. Poor thing, whatever is he going to do!

Sh*t's Getting Real!
Look what came!! I think Kyle said it best when we ordered the stroller: "I guess we're having a kid." That said, things are certainly getting more real! Anyway, although it was delivered on Friday, Kyle assembled the stroller today (by assembled I mean put the wheels on) while we were Facetiming. Exciting stuff!!

Very Special Pumpkins
This oh so familiar scene played out at the pumpkin patch after brunch today. Nancy wanted a fun, dark orange, unique cinderella pumpkin and Dana, claiming they looked like her vision of a resected tumor, was not on board. Sound like another 2 people we all know?? One of those lovely very special pumpkins did in fact get selected, in addition to a couple "GT blonde" pumpkins!! All and all, great day! Gracie had a fun outing and so did all of us!!

Run for Fun!
The big day arrived! We were up and at 'em nice and early, although not early enough to beat the traffic! It was a bit of a late starting line drop off for my "race" (there was plenty of time to shove a muffin in my mouth before I hopped out of the car first though) The 5K went great, waay better than I had expected actually. Then it was time to send off the real warriors of the day. Nancy, Dana and Kyle all headed out on their 13.1 mile adventure! All finished with awesome times and most importantly, not too much worse for the wear! After the races it was time for some beers and sustenance! Then it was home for naps/football/chicken & dumplings. It was a pretty packed, pretty great day all around!
