"That's One Hell of a Lid!"

Fall Foods, Pumpkin Carving Night has come and gone! After Marty & Kristin spent the day cleaning the house top to bottom it was time to cook and carve! In all, 12 pumpkins were cleaned out and about...7ish have been carved thus far. The process began with Tim (and some Marty) on the lids and we three ladies doing some serious scooping! After all were cleaned up, it was time to divvy up and design! College themes are big this year. Also in, the power tool pumpkin carving method. It was a perfect gross & rainy fall night for some tasty food, the The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown and carving some squash! Hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to get a group shot of sorts.

Re-entering the Community

Today's community re-entry outing was to the North Market downtown. While it's no Westside Market, it is pretty cool. After perusing with our wheelchair driving wiz kids (men) we all settled in for some lunch outside in the warm sun on the patio. What did I get to eat you ask? For starters, I couldn't pass up the Polish place with the awesome Polish guy who makes all his food from scratch - so perogies and potato flap jacks (yeah, that's 1 "pancake" folded in half!) it was! In addition I got some macaroni and cheese and cole slaw from the BBQ place. Never fear, I didn't even come close to eating it all, I brought lots home to snack on over the next couple of days. Yum! All and all a great trip out and about and successful all around! Gotta love Thursdays!

Darts Anyone?

The party prep for Saturday continued tonight as a couple more things were checked off the to-do list. Tonight's big accomplishments, Marty hung up his new dart board in the basement and I pretty much finished up my costume...only that won't be seen until Saturday!!

Dog Nap

After a fun weekend in Bay Cort decided it was time to curl up for a nap this evening. Only having the lights on just wouldn't do! Diva passed on his bed and opted for pillows and a flowy curtain cover-up. Oh, Cortland!

Halloween Happenings

Today consisted of a little bit of everything! A somewhat lazy Sunday morning in Bay followed by an afternoon with family at Grandma Maj's house, then a drive back to Columbus where the doggers and I crashed Marty & Kristin's cleaning extravaganza. After they gave up on housekeeping for the night it turned to craft time. They put together some spider web lantern ball things and I whipped up the halloween collars for the doggers. Then it was time for a little TV and all topped off with me FINALLY straightening up "my" messy messy room! Phew! Busy Sunday! There were a few things I didn't get done that I would have liked to, but, you can't win 'em all! Hope everyone had a good weekend!!!

Hey, Hey, Harry!

It's been a while since my last Close Quarters stop in, and tonight it was time for my long overdue visit to Harry! As it turns out, it's his birthday on Monday, so it worked out well to be able to pop in and say hi, have a few drinks (of water!) AND get to wish him a happy day! He really wanted to take a profile picture of me and Sprout for the wall but the water he was serving wasn't strong enough to get me to agree to that! My mom, Aunt Patty and Ryan were there too. Thanks to the pulled it out finish to the Buckeye's game (despite the fact that I missed the TD at the end due to dog taking out duties) and an evening at my favorite hangout, it was a pretty good Saturday!
