In the Bag...or not

This morning I used the newly no longer asthmatic lawnmower to cut the very long backyard. At Kyle's request I bagged the grass - first time!!! Got all that done during nap #1. Early this evening Nora and I made a quick trip to the grocery store. Kyle beat us home - to THIS! Apparently Cort felt slighted because he wasn't invited on our outing and decided to communicate his dissatisfaction by rifling through the garbage and made sure it was EVERYWHERE! Good thing I spent all that time sweeping and scrubbing the floor yesterday. This episode earned him 4 hours outside looking in while I made dinner and baby food. I don't have the heart to make him sleep out there - softy!

Super Sunday!

Today was the most productive day I've had in quite some time! I can't take all the credit, Kyle was pretty darn productive too! While he entertained Nora and straightened up the bedroom I scrubbed the floors and grout in the kitchen and even got a couple loads of laundry done. Then, during afternoon nap time it was time to tackle the lawn mowers. I took the new one (it looked closer to the YouTube tutorial), Kyle took the old one. For those that don't know, the old mower won't run and the new one has been running REALLY rough due to a small air filter mishap (whoops!). After tearing them both down we each cleaned our carburetor and reassembled. (I didn't take any pictures while I had it apart - focused!) My mission was accomplished and the mower is running much better now (YAY!). The old mower however, still won't run, probably because it needs a new bladder in the fuel pump button thing. Anywho, I didn't do a craft to round out my day, but I'm still feeling pretty darn accomplished!!

Lights Out!

Clearly, the Buckeyes' game was a rousing one tonight! Today was a nice, low key Saturday at home with one quick Lowes outing. Nora stayed up to see a little of the game and apparently so did Cort and I. Really wishing it was a long weekend!

Friday Fun!

We had a fun and busy day today! This morning I packed up the "kids" and we went to the dog park so Cort could run and swim off a little steam. Nora enjoyed watching all the pups play from her perch on my shoulders and on the ground and Cort, as planned did a lot of swimming and playing. Once we got home it was lunch time for both of them and for those of you who don't know, we have a little Friday afternoon tradition here that we like to call Naked Lunch. Cort looses the collar, Nora looses her clothes and they enjoy lunch au naturel. Haha! I'm pretty sure it's Nora's favorite activity of the week. Kyle came home to find them both fully clothed and after a little trip to Park Avenue it was time for the weekly picture and bed. Phew! If that was Friday I can't wait to see what Saturday brings! Juicy Drop of Sunshine!

Late day rains and overnight humidity make for pretty mornings full of sparkling drops of sunshine all around the cage. Did my best to capture some of the glitter.

SPLASH!

On Labor Day we tested out the local spray ground. Nora seemed to think it was alright so I tossed it into the "pot" for an activity for her. It's gorgeous out today, so after she took a pretty good morning nap, and before lunch time, she suited and sunscreened up and off we went to do some splashing. I think this picture sums it up, she LOVED it! She would bounce up and down, laughing and chattering while waiting for the water to come back. When it'd finally pop back up she'd get all excited, would reach out to touch the ones close to her and splash away. She only got a little overwhelmed twice and only "asked" for a break once. To top it all off, there was one little girl there when we arrived that she LOVED watching and then after she left, 3 more appeared to entertain her. Sure I got drenched, but, all and all a major success and we will definitely go back!!

The More They Stay the Same

There are always blankets on the floor now that Nora's around but why settle for one blanket on the floor when you can have 5 blankets in a basket to snuggle up with!!! He might be getting older but he isn't changing all that much!
