Into the Sunset

It's a little weird living the single life these last couple days. This morning I went to a baby shower and with gorgeous weather and no need to make dinner this evening, Jessica and I decided to take an evening hike with the pups. The trail was a little more crowded than on our typical weekday mornings, but the dogs were well behaved and had a lot of fun running around and sniffing the evening air. Cort even got in a river swim. It was an awesome way to end a low-key Saturday!

Nora is still figuring out this whole who's the baby thing. No kisses for Keaton, but they sure are cute together!

As if the double dose of mini's isn't enough, check out Nora and Kyle on their daddy/daughter Valentine's dinner out tonight.

Nora clearly wasn't going thirsty! Love, love love! As for me and Cort. After I got home from work we went on our own date. After a stop at the grocery store we hit up Jeremiah's for a gelati and a pup cup. You bet I finished a large on my own - only 1 spoon needed than you very much! Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Hope each and every one of you felt special!

They made it!! I dropped Nora and Kyle off at the airport bright and early this morning and after what I understand was a smooth flight Nora got to meet her baby cousin Keaton. The jury is still out on this whole not being the only baby in the house thing. Haha! She had a fun filled day playing at Aunt Kristin's and Uncle Marty's house and going to a play date with new friends Evie and Ellie while Kyle recruited at OSU. It all sounds like a good way to start off her weekend adventure! As for me, I worked and then Cort and I ran a couple errands. Back to work tomorrow!

Got the camera back - time for some catch up!
Even though it's a couple days early, Nora and I celebrated Valentine's day today since she'll be in Ohio with her dad on Friday. We started off with some pancake love and moved on to the pool full of all sorts of red and pink things, some Valentiney light table time, a trip to the Y and topped it off by playing with pink water beads with dad on the back patio. Tomorrow begins Nora and Kyle's weekend adventure to Ohio!!

Bliss

There were a lot of words and a lot of pictures to sum up today but I don't know that any could do better justice than what you see here. After story time at the library this morning, we spent a lot of time outside playing, eating and picture taking barefoot in the sunshine this afternoon and we all loved it! It was perfection!!!

Making a Splash!

Hiking day (usually Wednesday) has been bouncing around a little bit lately due to schedules and planning around the weather. Today looked like the best pick of the week so we took to the trails with Nora packed on my back and let Cort and Maya have at it. It was a little warmer than it has been so we let them take a lot of time to play by and swim in the river and splash in the pools and streams wherever we crossed. As you can see, Cort isn't overly concerned about what might be lurking or growing in the woodsy waters! You'd think after 2.5 hours of high speed activity he'd have been exhausted when we got home...HA! Fun things to note: we saw a bald eagle and walked right past an armadillo, he made me jump! In other news, despite a good hike, it was a rough afternoon for Nora. She got her first fat/split lip (darn door frames) and the playroom staff at the Y had to come get me because she was FREAKING out. Looks like more workouts are in order so we can work through it!

Bubbles!

Nora took her naked style to the tub this afternoon and enjoyed a bubble bath complete with blown bubbles to catch and pop. She was amazed that she could put her fingers inside the big bubbles I was blowing without them popping like they usually do.
