After 20 minutes of tears and what ended up being a workout ending meltdown in the kids area, Nora and I took to the pool for some swim time in the sunshine. With temps rounding out at about 85˚ it was lovely for our bike ride to the Y and perfect for some pre-season pool time! Lots of practice to be done at the Y, in the water and out!!

On the Banks of the Econlockhatchee
Gorgeous day today!!!! While most of you are digging out up North, spring is springing here, trees are budding and blooming and it was, dare I say a bit warm on our hike today. It made it a perfect day for Cort to take a long swim break on our hike. While he was stick fetching, Maya dodging and current paddling in the super clear "tea color" water Nora helped me snap this picture...or I helped Nora - either way! Blue skies, a breeze, sunshine, a good friend, a giggling Nora and 2 happy doggers...perfect!

Tablemate
Today was one of those days that you finish feeling proud of all you accomplished but look around and wonder "What did I accomplish?" My answer...you can't see it because it's all put away! I did some storage shifting, moved things around and put things away where they belonged and made new belonging places for other stuff. What did that leave me with you ask? A cleared off TV stand thing and a table that I can see, that my computer fits on AND that Nora can hang out at with me and color or craft while I get things done. She seems pretty happy with my accomplishments today too, so I'll take it!

Playing Goodbye Until Next Time
Kyle and Nora spent yesterday afternoon and night and the morning today in Bellefontaine to celebrate the twins' birthday, and of course visit with her Grandma, Pap, aunt, uncle and cousins. They clearly made the most of their time together as Kyle, Kris and Kate hit the slopes for some skiing last night and the kids played away this morning. From reading to plane assembly Nora clearly got in on all the action her cousins had to offer! From what I understand, the flight back to Florida wasn't quite as smooth as the flight up, but Kyle toughed it out and Cort's & my roomies have returned!! I'm really happy that they were able to have such a special weekend adventure together but it's great to have them back...now another week begins!

Into the Sunset

It's a little weird living the single life these last couple days. This morning I went to a baby shower and with gorgeous weather and no need to make dinner this evening, Jessica and I decided to take an evening hike with the pups. The trail was a little more crowded than on our typical weekday mornings, but the dogs were well behaved and had a lot of fun running around and sniffing the evening air. Cort even got in a river swim. It was an awesome way to end a low-key Saturday!

Love!!!!
Nora is still figuring out this whole who's the baby thing. No kisses for Keaton, but they sure are cute together!
As if the double dose of mini's isn't enough, check out Nora and Kyle on their daddy/daughter Valentine's dinner out tonight. Nora clearly wasn't going thirsty! Love, love love! As for me and Cort. After I got home from work we went on our own date. After a stop at the grocery store we hit up Jeremiah's for a gelati and a pup cup. You bet I finished a large on my own - only 1 spoon needed than you very much! Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Hope each and every one of you felt special!
