Into the Wild!

What a fun Friday we've had! 2 awesome hikes with the doggers! One this morning, one this afternoon. The weather is perfect, the trees and the trails here are awesome (muddy) but super fun with no gators and the dogs were great! Kyle doesn't usually get to come with us so it was a lot of fun to have him get to come too. It was Mosby's first hiking experience and it took him a bit to figure out what to do with his freedom aside from chase Cort, but once his nose kicked in and he got the hang of it he was a pro! We were all pretty tired after the first round, but with a busy weekend coming up I wanted to make sure the dog's energy tanks were on E and the second hike seemed to do the trick - especially after Cort went haywire for a bit! I know our patience tanks were close to E after the second one! Haha! Anyway, the boys are back in Columbus for the night celebrating the end of Tim's bachelorhood at the Clippers' game and wherever else they end up and we girls are just hanging out here at the park, wrangling dogs and kiddos and resting up for the long weekend ahead!

Paws, Claws, Flippers, Fins, Hooves, Fingers & Toes

It seems like there's always so much to share when we're on our tours! Kristin, Joanna and I took the kiddos to the zoo!!!! We got there too late to see Betty White but it was an absolutely gorgeous day for the grand opening of the new Africa area. Nora, Evie and Ellie all loved seeing (and in one instance, riding) the different animals and snacking in their strollers and Keaton napped like a champ! Everyone was up and out when it was time to see the lions and giraffes in Africa though. Nora LOVED the lions! She was completely convinced they understood her when she barked at them. It's always so fun to watch her and how excited she gets when she sees new things. The new area really is cool, I highly recommend checking it out if you find yourself in Columbus! After their trip around the world the kids were spent and Nora & Keaton fell asleep before we were even to the car. Joanna was nice enough to watch our two during the late afternoon while Kristin & I got mani-pedi's in preparation for the big event on Sunday. We had a nice relaxing time, picked up our minis and then parted ways for the night - I took Nora and headed to the state park where Kyle (with Mosby and Cort) will meet up with us later tonight and Kristin, Marty and Keaton will catch up with us tomorrow. Let the wedding weekend festivities begin!!!!

Catching Up and Calming Down

It was a busy morning of getting everything organized and re-packed up while Nora played with Grumps. After I got everything and everyone piled up and strapped on/in we began the first stage of our journey south landing in Columbus. We spent the afternoon with Morgan and her sweet baby boy Graham and Cort and Bella finally had their long-overdue (and somewhat dramatic) introduction. All of the kids (2 and 4 legged alike) were having fun like old pals in no time while Morgan and I caught up and chatted for a bit. Tonight, we take Megan's place and bunk down at Marty & Kristin's. Once we got the kids down, Kristin and I enjoyed a well deserved lazy night around the house - complete with Digiorno. It was perfect and we're going to be glad we did because we have a big day in store for the kiddos tomorrow! Kicking off wedding weekend early!

Rundevous

We finally got to meet Anderson!!! He's such a cute little dude! So this evening's plan was to meet up with LJ and Anderson and go for a run. It started as a run but I sputtered out (that's what I get for slacking! UHG...I'll be starting from scratch when we get back!) Anyway, not important! What is important is that Anderson is awesome and LJ and I got to catch up while we ran then walked with the kiddos. Mike was nice enough to go hunt and gather dinner for us and we had a nice time chatting while we enjoyed the warm evening outside. Trips home are always a little crazy but I love when there are simple visits like today's thrown in! Thanks LJ, Mike & Anderson for letting us come hangout!!

Scents of Spring!

We spent the morning playing in Fremont, then Nora said bye bye to her Grandma & Pap (until the weekend) and we headed back to Bay. After a nap in the car on the drive she was ready to play this afternoon. The sun was out and the temps were up a bit so we took to the backyard and hit the driveway armed with chalk. As is the way in the North, when the weather warms, everyone comes out of hiding! So we also talked to Mr. Jarc, met the baby behind my parents' house (and I met her mom for the first time) and Mrs. Grabo even popped in when she saw us out and about! And, while they were exploring the yard my dad made sure to share his favorite springy smells with Nora. Lily of the Valley & Lilac are scents that bring back lots of childhood memories for him so he shared some stories with us and gave Nora the chance to sniff some of the blooms.

Sunny Sunday

We all started the morning off by going to church. Susan played in the bell choir (under Ken's direction) and after we took the opportunity to snap a few pics of the kiddos all together & dressed nicely on a sunny morning - a little too sunny if you ask Will! After church the Bellefontaine crew headed back home and Nora spent the afternoon playing with her Grandma & Pap.
Out to lunch, bubbles, walks, the playground, playtime with Pap - Nora was one tired little girl by bedtime! She wasn't the only one who had fun - After spending the morning hanging out in the car, Cort got to meet and play with the neighbor dogs that he's been barking at for years now. They had a blast and tired each other out too! A perfect sunny Sunday!!

A Handful

Literally! The 5 mini Myers' had a play day today. It took a lot of patience for Allie to wait for Nora to wake up from her nap, but after that, all bets were off! There were blocks, and trucks, and shapes and books. They played inside, played outside at the playground, they played upstairs & downstairs. They made a lot of big messes! It was a flurry of activity, the kids played the whole afternoon away and then gobbled up dinner. I think it's safe to say that they all had a good time (except for Cort - he was just a tad overwhelmed by all the activity!)
