Spraygrounding Around

With temps up around 90˚ today I thought it might be fun to mix it up a little this afternoon and head out to the sprayground. While she loved the idea of the water, filling her bucket and watching it shoot balls up the air she was not a fan of the un-predictable nature of the jets and was REALLY leery of making her way to the middle. We'll have to keep going back and see if she starts to get the hang of it!

Serious Shopper

Nora has become a pretty big fan of visiting Lowes & Home Depot - she's pretty content walking around pointing out tools and things that we use around the house and is kind of ok with all the looks and attention she tends to get while she tags along with me or both of us. Our newest Lowes discovery today was these snazzy little baskets! Nora got to walk AND drive AND hold all the stuff that we were collecting. She was really careful, stayed close because there might be more to add to her basket. In short, she had a job, felt like she was in charge and it kept her totally occupied. Mind you, she got quite a few looks and comments that she mean mugged in response to, but overall, a win for the wheely basket!

ORB & Me!

My paint brushes and rollers aren't the only tools that have been getting a workout lately. My spray finger has been busy too! In addition to painting walls and trim and doors I've been tackling the hardware & hinges from the doors taking them from black and silver to Oil Rubbed Bronze. ORB fixes just about everything and makes a pretty good sidekick!

Easter

For starters - how cool of a way to get to Easter service!? This couple was in their Sunday best, paddle boarding at sunrise! It was a gorgeous morning for sunrise service. We enjoyed our time during and after lakeside and then headed home where we found baskets. We learned this year that Nora doesn't mess around when it comes to candy. She is no candy hoarder folks, she's a candy gobbler! Check out that basket raiding stance! This afternoon she went on an egg hunt in the back yard and I painted the entryway. We're on a roll folks - Kris & Christy's visit woke up my paint brushes! Look out! Happy Easter everyone!!

Easter Eve!

A lot of our Easter prep was moved to Saturday as opposed to Good Friday this year because I worked yesterday. That said, Battle of the Bread '15 was a total SUCCESS! First time around - dare I say I'm getting the hang of it!! We've cracked into one loaf already and it had the signature delicious and desired (by most) doughy "tomb" in the middle - we'll see tomorrow if the second loaf fairs as well! After the bread was done and Polish treats were hunted and acquired from local establishments, it was time to take on another task!
Nora got down to business and impressed us with her efficiency, focus and the amount of care she put in to dying her eggs! It was really unexpected - no giant egg dying mess and once she got started it was all business! So, we're ready for Easter tomorrow!

Somedays...

...Are like this. After a fun morning playing with my friend Mardi while I went into work, Nora went down hard for a late nap. I can't comment too much about it though because I crashed out on Kyle's birthday last night - laid down on our bed in attempts to make sure Nora stayed in her room, and next thing I know, Kyle's coming to bed at 11pm. Whoops! So, we'll have to have our Lemoncello Creme Torte tonight when he and Nora get home from their daddy daughter night at the Orlando City game! He took this picture while they were riding the train downtown to the game.
With work today and yesterday Easter prep has been put on hold, so tomorrow it's game on!

32!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KYLE!!!!

I worked today so admittedly there wasn't spectacular pomp and circumstance, but we didn't miss out on heading out to eat to celebrate Kyle's 32nd birthday at "The Coop". There's Lemoncello Creme Torte too - because what is a birthday without it!?! I'm excited to spend another year having fun and taking on new challenges with my younger counterparts!!
