Showered With Love

We had a fun day today! We girls headed out this morning for mani/pedi's at a local nail salon, then came back to Meg & Tim's to ride out the rain. They opened gifts while the kids napped and grandmas to be facetimed in. After gift opening we went and had a late lunch at Salty Dog Café, the kids roamed around, checked out the big boats and Keaton got some Salty Dog gear. After a fun afternoon out, we hit the beach for an evening photo session with Megan and Tim. All around a super fun wonderful day that ended up having lots more sun than we expected!!

Heading to Hilton Head

After an afternoon of packing and loading and Marty playing tetras with luggage and shower gifts, we all managed to pack and pile ourselves into the car and head North for our sibling weekend in Hilton Head to visit Tim & Megan. It wasn't the smoothest drive up thanks to our pint size and 4 pawed passengers BUT we made it, so...let the fun begin!

Magnetic Messages

We have lots of fun using magnets on the fridge to learn letters, spell words and even use them to get ready for upcoming trips and people who are coming to stay with us!

Muffins!

This afternoon we hit the kitchen and mixed up some fresh blueberry muffins. Aside from wanting to eat all the blueberries before they made it into the batter and then discovering how good batter tastes (you should have seen her face light up when she snuck a lick of her finger!) Nora was a pretty good pourer, stirer, and all around helper. She was a little reluctant to taste the finished product but eventually gave them a go - they were pretty delicious if you ask me!

Daniel Tigert

"Daniel Tigert" is becoming a pretty important morning staple around here and this morning Nora was extra pumped when Daniel and "O the Towel" went for a nature walk in the rain! For this rain walk loving kiddo it super fun to see that her TV buddy likes to go find fun things in the rain too. Unfortunately for her, today was the only day in like the last week that it didn't rain, and the last few days the storms have been too strong for rain walks. Here's hoping we don't have to wait for a tropical storm/hurricane or fall for better rain walking conditions!

April Showering May Flowers

As seriously as she takes her flower watering job, there was no stopping her from taking a little water break. Silly kiddo was scooping water out of her watering can and drinking it off of her hand. Good news is, she's starting to understand that if I take pictures of her, she gets to see them later. Hopefully, after this recent dry spell, I'll be allowed to take pictures more often now!

Feels Better

We had a pretty lazy, low key weekend around here...not much was accomplished other than Kyle cleaning the kitchen a gazillion times over, but otherwise we just kind of hung out. Today Nora couldn't stop eating pineapple and she learned the hard lesson about eating too much citrus when her tongue started to hurt. After about the 3rd random lick of my leg she shared with me that it was helping her tongue feel better to lick me. Oh what a glamorous life. While there was a lot of doing not so much around here, we did have a really nice family run tonight with Cortland at my side and Kyle on stroller duty! Have a good week everyone!
