There aren't a whole lot of pictures of me and this guy, despite the large amount of time we spend hanging out together, but today, Kyle caught us snoozin' in the tee-pee. Aside from snuggly snoozes Kyle also got the Christmas lights put up this afternoon! We don't have the Christmas balls hanging yet, but the roof is outlined. One of these days we'll get our Christmas all put up!!

Starting Off Strong
Go Bucks! Lincoln got off to a good start watching the game in his newly acquired (handed down) script Ohio t-shirt and from the looks of it he was pretty excited about the outcome of this year's M*ch*gan game. Nora and Kyle did a lot of cheering and high fiving and while the football was worth watching, we didn't accomplish a whole lot else today. While the Christmas decorations have made their way down out of the attic little more than the stockings and some mantel decorations have made their way up. I guess an appearance of decorations in general calls for this year's kick off, but I have a hunch that with the chaos coming, my Christmas is going to be late showing up this year. Only time will tell...

Thankful!
We had a lovely low key day today spent cooking and hanging out and of course taking time to reflect on the many things we have to be thankful for this year. Nora had some excellent "thank yous" tonight to kick off our tasty meal! While we do our best to say thank yous at all of our family dinners, it was nice to take a little extra time to focus on all the good things that we have to be grateful for (yay Lincoln!) while we (Jessica included) shared a relaxed meal that didn't feel rushed at the end of a work day. I hope everyone had a wonderful day filled with family, friends and tasty treats! Our turkey was a little dry, the gravy was a totally lost cause and Kyle's pecan pie was really pretty burnt, BUT the rolls I've been attempting to master for close to a decade on and off FINALLY came out! I'll take the win! I leave you with a quote that I love and is kind of a motto, from a print that hangs in our family room by our table. "When life is sweet, say thank you and celebrate. When life is bitter, say thank you and grow." Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!

Baby's First Bath!
He was stinky enough! Haha! This afternoon Nora and I pulled the trigger, filled the tub and gave Lincoln his first bath. He wasn't so sure about the whole process at first but with the water running and once the warm water was deep enough to keep him comfy he was pretty content. So, things we're learning - Lincoln does not like to be cold (who does!?), he loves the sound of running water and he loves his big sister!
