Baby's Day Out!

Today was a pretty productive day - outside of the house anyway. After we dropped Nora off at school Lincoln and I headed home and he got a bath, we went for a (short and ugly) run, then headed to toddler story time at the library! Lincoln loved the songs and stories - and all the mom drinks and sitting on the floor cell phones he could attempt to steal. We spent a little time in the "Rainbow Room" kids' area after and he wandered around and spent plenty of time playing with a teapot on his own. On our way to pick up Nora from school we stopped at "the orange store". Lunch then consisted of oranges and fresh squeezed orange juice along with some PB&J. Naps, then it was off to swimming lessons! Nora is now officially in the correct class - class - not swim team practice, haha! There were late day double kid snuggles AND I got dinner made tonight. Phew! Don't ask what got done around the house but all and all it was a successful day!

Resemblance

After swimming lessons this afternoon (yep, Nora's back to swimming lessons and after today, I think we might know what class Nora & Elizabeth ACTUALLY belong in!) Anywho! Before heading home we stopped at Target to get a few things for Nora's school project of helping families in Venezuela. While we were in the children's department Nora stopped short and got so excited that this baby "looks just like Greg!!" as in Kyle's friend Greg. I mean, I can kinda see it...enough so that it made me laugh a lot and take a picture to show Kyle. Gotta love Nora's fixation on finding things that are alike these days!

Winning Sunday

We made it! It was a bit chilly this morning but we managed to get up, moving, Kyle and Nora made pancakes for breakfast, I got a shower AND we made it to church pretty much on time! Who cares about the rest of the day, we won Sunday all before 11am! BUT to add to the victory, Kyle got all the Christmas lights down, I put a decent dent in putting inside Christmas away, the tree is down and out and we did a little bit of laundry. All and all a pretty productive (albeit chilly) Sunday. Capped off with a fire in the fireplace because it's still cold enough!! YAY! Hoping this week is a smooth one!

Curtains

It's looking as though we have a class clown on our hands folks. Welcome to one of Lincoln's favorite games - hiding in curtains. We had a pretty fun afternoon today, a tasty dinner and a fun evening which included some playing with Lincoln and some light pad time for Nora. Excited for cold/fire weather this weekend!

Down, Up, Down

This morning was a rough one getting ready for school...but, we made it to school, albeit a half hour late. When I dropped her off though it was all smiles and hugs for the teachers & staff...typical! This afternoon while she was napping, Lincoln and I had some fun taking pictures in his room while he wandered around and played. He hammed it up big time! When Nora woke up she was pretty happy and we spent some time hanging up before the last down part of the day (for me anyway).

I had a late afternoon dentist appointment that lasted FOREVER - it was just an exam and took sooo long!! Nora of course parlayed her bonus time with daddy into dinner at Panera in Winter Park while I sat in a dentist chair watching local news for 3 hours. Uhg! At least she checked with me ahead of time while she was making her grand evening plans: "You'll be ok making and having dinner by yourself right?" Friday tomorrow! Yay!

Little Johnny Returns

Nora is a big fan of "the tree guys" and befriended the whole squad last time they were here. It was the first day back to school today and this morning when I told her they were coming back to do a little more work this afternoon she was more than confident that her "friend" Little Johnny would be back. I insisted that he may not be on today's team but in typical Nora fashion, she was completely sure and as seems to often be the case, completely correct. The guys got right down to work and took out the trees that had to be addressed by the power company before they could be removed. The 4 man crew had quiet the captive audience and I was happy for the provided outdoor entertainment AND fresh even bigger looking backyard!
