Dental Drama

There is really nothing quite like sitting at the oral surgeon's office waiting for a root canal & to have a wisdom tooth pulled and staring at a picture like this. Really keeps the nerves calm and blood pressure low. Anywho, I survived. Should be an interesting few days of soft foods and Tylenol. Here's hoping I'm one of those people who bounce right back!

Just Another Day

Gotta love an impromptu family room performance! I think they're almost ready to take their show on the road.

Back to Orlando

Phew! Our travelers did well this evening. After spending some time in Pittsburgh this afternoon (Nora and Kyle explored the park downtown while Lincoln slept and I hung out in the car in the parking garage) then we had a snack at the airport because we had time...and our flight was delayed 30 minutes. SO, our flight went pretty smoothly, we made it to Orlando and Nora, the professional pulled her weight (actually it was about half her weight) by getting the suitcases off the belt and taking hers to the car. She always turns heads when she's rocking her yellow boots, backpack and pulling her suitcase like a pro. It's been a long fun weekend but with late bedtimes AGAIN tonight we'll see how the short week goes.

Pack it up, Pack it in!

After a VERY rainy, foggy Saturday, it was nice to see the sun shining when we got up this morning. All the trees looked silver and twinkly as the mini icicles were sparkling in the sunshine. There were drip drip drips to be heard everywhere as they were melting too. It would have been a great day for a hike (probably pretty muddy, but really pretty) but we had other plans on our agenda. First stop was Perkins for breakfast. After we filled up our tummies it was off to St. Clairsville to visit Grandma Green for a bit this afternoon. Once Nora woke up from a much needed nap we packed up and made our way to Greg & Jenny's house outside Pittsburgh for dinner. After a near epic fit from our almost 4 year old it was off to the hotel with fingers crossed that our children will actually sleep tonight.
We're checked in, starting to get kids settled (he looks settled and ready for bed, huh?) and desperately hoping for (needing) a good night's sleep. Not much on the agenda tomorrow, we'll see where the day takes us, aside from home tomorrow afternoon

Family Time!

This morning started out with Aunt Nancy leading a few little bakers in some monkey bread making and then after some walks and runs for a few, we had a big tasty breakfast in the Bluebird cabin next door.
This afternoon and evening it was all about everyone being together and capturing the event. We took a picture of this branch of the Myers crew and later this evening during the belated Christmas party we managed to document (almost) all of Reba's Grands and Greats! Last night was a late night followed by what is shaping up to be another, but lots of fun to get together with the whole Myers crew who we don't get to see very often!

Traveling on Friday the 13th.

Soooo, we've had smoother traveling days! Due to a missed flight (things snowballed a little on the getting out of the house side), then a delay on the rebooked flight, two tired kiddos, one with no interest in sleeping, one with an upset tummy. We landed, got our car and headed to our weekend destination in West Virginia with barely any battery left on Kyle's phone - which, is our only phone for the weekend because mine is in Florida. Thanks to some good directions and the handy dandy blue camera by 1am we were pretty much settled in at the Cardinal cabin and the kids were down. It was a long one, but we're here! Oh and as for the picture - the train to the terminals - Nora insists on standing and immediately instructs us where to stand (ya know, far enough away so that she's on her own) Our traveling girl!

Hey Hey Play!

It was fabulous to see Nora lost in play after school this afternoon! She was off on adventures with her various dolls, packing bags and changing diapers. For whatever reason, her true play days aren't as frequent now so I get pretty excited when it happens and was excited to snap this picture from afar as to not interfere. We're hitting the friendly skies again this weekend so there's lots of packing yet to be done. Busy day tomorrow!
