Tonight we went to the Toledo Zoo for their zoo light-ish event! This very well lit tree seemed to be the heart of it all. While it was pretty cold, and I did lose feeling in my feet, it was really fun to see all of the lights...and a few animals. (Literally, only a few)
Hard to believe that there are only 2 more days left in 2010!!
We've now begun the Fremont leg of our journey of holiday cheer! We spent the late evening/night setting up the new TV and all the other stuff that goes with setting up a TV (cables, cables and more cables). With furniture rearranged and the TV in working order, its on to computer set up next!
Still here in St. Clairsville and today we took a lunch time field trip to Bellaire to go to Gulla's for hot dogs. I had a plain one (with ketchup) - everyone else had a variation of a Gulla dog, with special sauce, onions and mustard. I like going to fun little local places, I just wish it wasn't so cold out so I could take more pictures of all the bridges and stuff without my fingers falling off!!
We carried our Christmas over to today. The "Asleighdia" brought us and our holiday cheer to St. Clairsville to see Grandma and Pap Green. It was a nice morning spent playing with Kate & Will and all their new toys in Bellefontaine then a fairly quick trip to a tasty dinner and Christmas celebration with everyone here.
As usual, Tim was the Christmas morning ring leader - 6:15am was the first wake-up call. As if the normal routine is not enough, this year's Christmas morning had a theme song! You can listen below, it really got us pumped up and in the mood for the day!! So it all started with some bouncing at the top of the steps at 6:30am and then we finished up our Christmas with the Myers side in Bellefontaine with lots of smiles, fun, family (and driving) in the middle!
I'm an Ohio girl who just so happens to be living (with my husband, kiddos and my crazy dogger) in Florida right now...I haven't found a beach I like more than those on Lake Erie, I strongly believe that mashed potatoes and/or peanut butter (individually, not mixed) can fix any bad day, I have an irrational fear of bathtub floors and drains, I absolutely love binders, dividers, calendars, colored pens and school supply shopping and most importantly, I'm glad you stopped by to see what our family's up to down here in the sunshine state!!
