This morning I went to the Waldorf Astoria down by Disney, to help set up for the Make A Wish Wishmaker's Ball. I had signed up to volunteer AT the actual ball but apparently didn't make the cut! Anyway, en route to the Waldorf from the Finfrock designed and built Hilton parking garage I got to walk across "Kyle's bridge"! This little walkway bridge is Kyle's design - the whole reason that it hasn't fallen yet, and didn't fall when I walked across it is because he did his job well!! Yay Kyle! I had seen this little bridge quite a few times when we drove by to check in on the progress as the garage was being built but this was the first time either of us had gotten the up close and personal chance to walk across it. I am happy to report - it works! Oh, and the ball will be awesome too! Lots of prettiness in the set up!

Chores
After a few really bad months, we are making a renewed effort to be good at life and keep our house clean. This is the chore "chart" that I came up with to help make the process a little less daunting. So far so good this week! Now we just need to keep it up!!
In other news - Grandma Keaton is back in the hospital, I hope she's feeling better and back home soon!!! MUAH!

Snooze Loser!
One thing Kyle and I have learned about one another is that we have very different wake-up styles. Kyle is a snoozer - OVER AND OVER AND OVER again!! I however prefer to get all my sleep in a solid block and set the alarm for when I ACTUALLY need/want to wake up. This isn't just my preference - I need to get up with the first alarm ooorrr...I sleep through the rest of the alarms and won't wake up! Which brings us to today. I was supposed to get up to run before work but before the song even broke through my eyelids into my brain, Kyle popped up and immediately snoozed my alarm (he claims he thought it was his!) So, an hour later, after drowsily "hearing" 4 or 5 additional snoozed music alarms and at least 3 snoozed phone alarms I finally came to and got up for work - behind schedule and behind a run. Not the way I like to start the day! We're going to need to work out a better system!

One Day's Dirt
Remember yesterday, when Kyle and I spent the afternoon cleaning? Well when we went to bed last night the kitchen and dining room floors were swept and scrubbed - squeaky clean!! After one day of being left to their own devices with the back door open, this was the result of a quick sweep this evening! No wonder we can't keep the house clean! 6 more days of doggy shenanigans and we'd be able to plant an indoor garden!! Argh!!

Easter!!
We made it!! After years of missing it we finally got up and at 'em in time to make it to sunrise service at Rollins!!! It was so pretty and a great start to our Easter! We came home, went for a run, found our baskets and then of course...ate candy!!After eating candy we had a tasty Easter lunch...scalloped potatoes, ham, deviled eggs, bread and the butter lamb! The rest of the afternoon was spent cleaning the house and then we video chatted with both our families!! All and all a relaxing, productive and lovely Easter!! Now it's the start of another week - have a good one!!

Bread, Butter and Beau...
First off, let me announce that I'm writing tonight in our FINALLY put-back-together-after-3-months, office!! YAY!!
Ok, moving on!
Wow, what a day!! For the full photo pictorial of the 2011 Bread Battle you'll have to refer to Picasa, but here's the abridged version! ...er coaster!! BEAU DOG! Yep, went into the office for a minute to see Tim's latest digs at my bread baking attempts on Facebook and what happens?? Beau hopped up on the counter and snatched the bread that was still cooling! I caught him in the act and after taking the chunk (pictured) out of his mouth he was sent to puppy jail for a good long time! Oye!! At least I got one good loaf out of the day! So I now declare this year's battle of the bread a draw - and officially closed! I came out at about 75% in terms of loaves and potentially down a mixer - not to mention the whole process took about eh, 5 to 6 hours. All I have left to say is look out next year bread!!!
Happy Easter everyone!!!
