Lunch Bunch!

After last night's rousing time at the Fremont Little Giant's Class of 2001 10-year reunion (hehe) we had a low key day today. Kris, Christy and the kids came over for lunch. It was warm out, but we did some outside playing, coloring, reading and various other short-lived activities. Then, while Kate and Will were resting and watching Tarzan we spent some time playing with the little ones - they're getting bigger and bigger!!

1 Step Closer to a Cure

The 3-day Walk is finally here! After buying shirts, baking cookies and getting all ready, the walkers arrived at around 7:30 this morning and were greeted by our neighbors and treated with lots and lots of cookies, some fruit snacks, crackers, lemonade, water, ice, coffee and of course MUSIC! It was such a great morning and so cool to see all the people who commit lots of time and lots of money to walking 60 miles in 3 days!! We talked to people from Tennessee, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Virgin Islands, California and Omaha, Nebraska! Everyone was amazingly nice and sooo greatful! It was awesome I hope I can come back for it again! Then, this afternoon I came to Fremont and this evening Kyle and I went to his 10 year HS reunion. Kind of a small turnout, but still a fun night out doing something together - you know, in the same state!! Haha!

Switcheroo!

So, we've been hitting up the recent sales at Dillards in preparation for the upcoming weddings. After buying some dresses earlier in the week - they of course went on sale even more! Unfortunately, they don't do price adjustments - FRUSTRATING!! Well, we had no option other than to pull a very detailed and well organized price swap. Karen determined that the plan would be best carried out at the Dillards at Beechwood Place (east-side) due to the size and number of registers in their dress dept. So Tim and I trekked over there despite rush-hour, low gas, no cell phones and no GPS - we were flying blind. We were happy jus to have made it there! Mom met us in the parking lot and went over the plan. After returning our respective dresses on different floors, the other one sneakily went and re-bought them at different registers. The covert money saving operation was successful and resulted in significant savings. AND, we didn't get caught or arrested! :o) We're just sneaky, savvy shoppers!

New Day!

I've been meaning to do this for a few weeks now and I finally got my butt up and went to the beach to catch the sunrise. (Lets be honest - I didn't get myself up, the dogs woke me up) Anyway, as you'd expect I took LOTS of pictures - all on Picasa of course! Happy Hump Day all!

Cookie Lady!

The 3-day walk is headed our way this weekend and the cookie baking in preparation has begun! There is a bit of a debate in our house as to what constitutes a "good" sugar cookie so we made 3 different kinds, that mixed with Susan's cookie contribution will make for 4 different sugar cookie recipies. We'll see who wins!

Jigidy Jig!

The crafting continued today and my dad helped me make my first jig. Apparently it's something wood working people use to help make a repetitive process more efficient. Once we figured out all the elements that would speed up the process it turned out to be a huge help. To see the finished product, you might have to wait a while but I'll put it up eventually, it might have to be after the wedding though. Don't want to ruin any surprises! :o) Have a good Tuesday all!

Oh, and you didn't think I'd forget a shout out to one of my most dedicated followers...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOD!!!!

No Way!

What a gorgeous day at the beach! It wasn't a big group, (my parents and me, Mr. Ron, Mrs, Joanne, Andy, Annie, Bella and Aunt Patty), but no doubt things got a little crazy! Brace yourselves...Aunt Patty...GOT HER HAIR WET! Now for those of you who don't know this is a rare feat and was ALWAYS a childhood goal of ours. We would stay out in the water and plot ways to get her hair wet! Well, yesterday no plot was needed, under she went, all on her own! The heat wave must still be around!

In other news...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY KRISTIN!
