Today was a day of little projects. We didn't accomplish much in the morning, but made some decent progress outside this afternoon and evening. I finished up our front lights, cleaning, painting and rehanging the last of the fixtures that were involved in the switcheroo. I also painted one of the planters we inherited and this evening Kyle planted some flowers once we parked it in it's temporary location next to the front door. Wasn't our best weekend warrior day but little bits here and little bits there.

1 Minute in Time
- 6:16 PM -
Two kids, two different rooms, same quiet minute. Nora: found snoozing amid the living room mess; catching up on that nap she claimed she didn't need this afternoon. Lincoln: Chattering to himself and taking a little break surrounded by toys and tools during tummy-time in font of his mirror. I call this little project "snapshot" and it doesn't get much more snapshotty than this.

New Place to Play!
Lincoln LOVES sitting and watching himself play in front of the mirror in his room. Tonight we finished out the mirror wall project when Kyle hung up the railing for him to use to stand and eventually pull himself up to babble with his friend in the mirror. He only played for a little bit before bed tonight and had lots of fun sucking on the railing, smiling at himself and forgetting to hold on when he went to give the baby in the mirror a high ten. He's going to require some close spotting while he learns the ins and outs of gravity but I'm sure there will be lots of fun ahead! In other news, Nora is feeling better...she had a slow/sluggish morning (good thing she didn't have to go to work today!), but it was all too clear by bedtime that our little firecracker is back to herself again! Friday tomorrow!!!!

Sick Day
Whelp, it got us! As of 1am it became very clear that the stomach bug claimed Nora as it's first victim in this house. After a night of VERY interrupted and sickly sleep, today has been about lounging in comfy clothes, sipping water, snoozing at will, nibbling on some simple snacks and hoping this ugly bug stays true to it's 24 hour trend. And, of course, we wait...chances are it's not going to claim just one of us!

Last Story
My goal of getting pics of all the kiddos (especially some cute clicks of Keaton & Bexley) in Lincoln's room while Marty & Kristin packed up was a challenge...a herding cats kind of challenge! Lots of moving, some fussing, giggling, wiggling and well, just kids being kids! While my quest was to catch some sweet moments with Keaton & Bexley, Nora is not one to be left out. Even when I gave her the option of taking pictures she preferred to be close to her cousins. That said - Keaton decided to read a story to the girls - sure it was of the coloring book variety but it's the gesture that matters. These cousins had a blast together the past couple of weekends and we were sad to see them go - but not before we sent them on one last adventure. They had breakfast at Disney this morning and saw Lilo, Stitch, Pluto and...Mickey! Keaton's love for Mickey didn't quite overcome the intimidation of meeting him in person, but by the time they got back here to load up for the airport, it was all about the fact that he'd seen Mickey so that's all that matters! With that, we said goodbye to our last scheduled guests for the spring and settled back into the day to day.

Water Day
After a super busy day yesterday and a lot of all over for our visitors in the last week, today was all about playing, projects and water...and not leaving the house other than an evening walk after dinner. My project for the day was a light swap out front - cleaning up, painting and switching the fixture from one door to the front door.
Meanwhile, Marty & Kyle made a frame for a project in Lincoln's room and this afternoon, the kids had a water play day out front. The turtle sprinkler for the bigs, the little pool under the shade of an umbrella for the littles. We had a relaxed dinner at a reasonable time and finished off with a walk up to the school to let the kiddos run off the last of their energy. Our visitors head home tomorrow, but we've had a blast with them!
