Fine, Fine, Number Nine

9 Months! Talk about being a completely different person than the one who appeared in January! This tiny human NEVER stops moving and is capable of feeding herself, waving hello and goodbye (when she feels like it), pulling herself up on just about anything, is a furniture creeping pro and is beginning to drink out of a real sippy cup! She can stand on her own too, but only if she doesn't realize it. She had her 9 month check-up today and weighs 21 lbs 2 oz (90%), is 28.25 inches tall (80%). With all her moving around some of her rolls and baby chunk has started to melt away and Dr. Britton said that according to the magical baby equation she should end up around 5'8 but he has a hunch she'll be taller than that based on her gene pool. Only time will tell! Anyway, our little monster is learning something new EVERY day. Lately she's discovered the joys of her mobility and the ability it gives her to get into everything! She's also gained a true appreciation for sleeping! In bed around 7:30 or so and has started sleeping in until after 8am, Yay!! She's still an eating machine, liking pretty much everything she's tasted which now includes various new fruits/veggies as well as chicken, plain yogurt and some foods off of our plates. She especially likes the things she can feed herself. We spent our first weekend away from her in October while Grandma Myers came and stayed with her and this coming month will be my first month working - yipes! She'll be in the care of my cousin Katie while I work 4 days/week and I'm sure she'll do great, but she better not take her first steps while I'm not home!!!!! Her first holiday season is just around the corner and from here on out she will forever be out here in the world longer than she was growing inside me...kinda crazy, just like this little ride we're on!
